Does it also work with gas boilers?
Yes. Away mode acts on the thermostat, not on the heat source — whether it’s a heat pump, gas condensing boiler or pellet boiler. With a gas boiler the hourly saving is smaller than with a heat pump, but it still adds up.

Common questions about the Vaillant integration
Is my Vaillant password stored?
No. Your login is used once to establish the connection and then discarded. What is stored is only the technical token that lets CheckYout temporarily control the thermostat. You can revoke access at any time from your Vaillant account.
What happens if I have several Vaillant thermostats?
For each property you pick which thermostat should react to the check-out. One sign per property, one thermostat per sign.
Can I set the eco-mode target temperature myself?
Yes. In the integration settings you set, per property, the target temperature for eco mode at check-out, as well as the warm-up temperature before the next check-in. The values stay in place until you change them.
