How does the cleaner know the guest has checked out?

Your guest scans the QR code on the sign as they leave. CheckYout then sends a WhatsApp to your cleaning team within seconds – with the property name and the check-out time. If the guest leaves early, your team knows just as early. In three steps:

Wir denken CheckYout benötigt jeder Gastgeber. Mit dem Check-out der Gäste erhält das Reinigungsteam eine Nachricht per Whatsapp und sie können loslegen. Sie sparen Zeit wenn der Gast früher abreist. Gleichzeitig kann der Check-out automatisiert werden. Smarte Geräte können gesteuert werden. Ist das Reinigungsteam fertig, erhält der Gastgeber Rückmeldung, gleichzeitig sieht der Gast in der digitalen Gästemappe sein Zimmer wurde gereinigt und ist bezugsfertig. Die Gäste nutzen den QR-Code wirklich wenn sie abreisen und das ist in der Tagesplanung echt hilfreich und hat mir schon viel "Ab-Warte-Zeit" erspart und sogar auch schon Freizeit geschenkt. Die Software ist einfach einzurichten und funktioniert einwandfrei.

Ich empfehle CheckYout gerne weiter. Es ist einfach einzurichten und die Gäste nutzen es oft. So weiss ich bei einer früheren Abreise Bescheid, was mir die Organisation der Reinigung erleichtert. Die Verknüpfung mit einem Channelmanager ist auch gut umgesetzt.

Can I start right away?

Yes. Create an account, download the A4 PDF with your QR code, print it, hang it next to the door – done in 5 minutes. From the first scan on, every notification runs: WhatsApp to the cleaning team, confirmation back to you. A picture frame or a clear sleeve is all the mounting you need.

Do I need the wooden sign?

No. The starting point is the A4 PDF with your QR code: download it, print it, hang it up. Functionally it is identical – same code, same notifications. The coated wooden sign is an optional upgrade for hosts who want the exit to look more polished.

Does the guest need an app?

No. Your guest points the phone camera at the QR code, the check-out page opens in the browser and appears automatically in their language – CheckYout speaks nine. One tap on “Confirm check-out” is enough and your cleaning team is informed. The whole thing stays in the browser.

What happens if the guest doesn't scan the sign?

Then everything runs as before: your cleaning arrives at the planned time, you just don’t get the earlier heads-up. CheckYout is a bonus, not a requirement. The more often guests scan, the more often cleaning starts earlier – and with a connected booking tool you see the planned check-out time in the dashboard anyway.

Why is the sign in English?

Because your guests come from all over the world. Practically everyone understands English on a sign, so it is deliberately kept in one language. After the scan, the check-out page appears automatically in the guest’s own language – CheckYout speaks nine, from German through Croatian to Greek.

How quickly does the cleaning team learn about the check-out?

Within seconds. The moment the guest taps “Confirm check-out”, the WhatsApp goes out to up to six stored numbers – with the property name and the check-out time. If the guest leaves earlier than planned, your cleaning team gains exactly that time.

Do I need Smoobu/Nuki/tado° to use CheckYout?

No. CheckYout works on its own: hang up the sign, the guest scans, the cleaning team is notified. The integrations build on top of that – a connected booking tool adds the guest name and the next arrival, a smart lock the access codes, a thermostat the heating times. You can start without any of them.
