Who is CheckYout not built for?
For a classic hotel with its own reception and fixed check-out times, CheckYout adds little – the check-out moment is known there anyway. For pure long-term rentals (three months or longer) there simply are not enough check-outs to justify the cleaning trigger.
CheckYout is built for everything in between: vacation rentals, small aparthotels, serviced apartments, contractor rooms with short stays. Typical users run one to fifteen units and work with an external cleaner or cleaning company.
Common questions about getting started
Do I need a PMS?
No. CheckYout works without one. A PMS makes things more comfortable because the guest name and next check-in come in automatically – but it is not a requirement.
What if the guest ignores the sign?
On the installations we see so far, the vast majority of guests scan when the sign is placed well (right next to the door or at the key-return spot). For the few who miss it, your existing check-out channels keep working as before.
How long does setup take?
The sign is shipped to you and takes a few minutes to hang. The PMS connection takes five to twenty minutes depending on the system. Smart-home integrations like Nuki or tado° depend on how quickly you have the vendor login at hand.
